Report Potentially Unregistered Work

CompetentRoofer supports legal roof refurbishment and seeks to build trust in the industry.  For these reasons we encourage you to inform us of property owners or companies who are failing to comply with Building Regulations.

If you are reporting a roofing contractor as not working in compliance with the Building Regulations, please provide as much of the information requested as possible, in particular describing what is wrong with their work and also anything that could identify the roofing contractor.

We will find the Building Control department of the relevant Local Authority and send the information on your behalf as an anonymous report; your identity and contact details will not be revealed or communicated.

You can send the information using the form below.

If you are reporting a roofing contractor as misusing the CompetentRoofer logo, then please complete the ‘Report logo misuse’ form.

Additionally, to report concerns that works may be unsafe, the Health and Safety Executive’s Concerns Team can be reached by phone on 0300 0031647 in office hours, 8.30am – 5.00pm, Monday – Friday, or you can fill in their online form.
